MUMBAI: Raveena Tandon, who recently turned 40, may have made her mark as an actor, but she feels there’s a lot more she has on her to-do list. She feels that 40 is just a number “and a very attractive one, at that.”

“I don’t know if life begins at 40, but I definitely feel I have many things to do and they’re all happening in a bunch,” said Raveena. She spent her birthday playing cards and didn’t throw a party because of a death in her family. “My uncle passed away. There was no pressure to not celebrate my birthday, but I didn’t feel like it. I was very close to my uncle, so I spent my birthday having a quiet dinner with my husband, children and close friends. There will be many birthdays to celebrate, I hope,” she shared.

On how she has selected the films she has appeared in , she said, “Whatever I’ve done, I’ve done at the spur of the moment.” She feels that life has given her more than what she had hoped for. “I have a perfect husband (Anil Thadani) and two gorgeous children. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better than my husband Anil. He’s supportive but not blindly so,” she commented.

“He has his own point of view on everything and doesn’t mind expressing it. He’s from the film industry and knows what I am all about,” stated Raveena. “He isn’t expressive whereas I like to make my feelings crystal clear. With Anil, I feel like I’ve come home to put my feet up and relax while he’ll take care of everything,” she added.

The actor set a record of shooting for most television shows in the shortest time when she shot 13 episodes of her talk show Simply Baatein With Raveena in five days. “I don’t know how I did it. I shot all 13 episodes of my talk show in just five days. It was madness. Friends who have done television say they’ve never heard of this happen before, but for me, it has always been that way,” she said.

The 40-year-old considers films such as Shool, Aks and Satta as the most defining moments of her career, and the songs Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast and Tip Tip Barsa Paani as her most memorable songs.

“I still have boys coming up to me to tell me that Tip Tip... was the song that helped them go from adolescence to maturity. Although I don’t want to probe into what they mean, I take it as a compliment,” said Raveena.
