Trades and skills: Tevta to revise courses to cater to industrial needs

TEVTA authority would revamp its courses according to industrial needs across the Punjab.

Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said on Tuesday that the authority would revamp its courses according to industrial needs across the Punjab.


He was speaking in a meeting. Sheikh said the Tevta would develop a dedicated system for the placement of its alumni in the local and international job market in accordance to their skills. He said the authority would enable disadvantaged youth to become contributing members of society. Sheikh said the availability of trained manpower was inextricably linked with industrial progress, prosperity and poverty alleviation.  He said interacting with private business could enable the authority to train manpower in accordance with industrial needs.
