Security forces, on a tip-off, imposed a curfew in the Jani Khel and Sardi Khel areas of Bannu and started a search operation.
During the door-to-door search, security officials exchanged fire with suspected terrorists, killing four of them.
Security officials said that arrested suspects were taken to an undisclosed location to be interrogated. A key commander was among those arrested during the raid.
