Kings humiliate Dolphins

Scoring frenzy leads to second highest target in CL history

Chennai Super Kings recorded a comfortable victory over the Dolphins after a thunderous performance by Suresh Raina saw his team triumph at the 8th match of the Champions League T20 being played in India.

The Kings gave a humungous target of 243 runs for which the Dolphins could only reply with 188 runs losing by 54 runs.

Raina was named as the man of the match for his 90 runs off 43 balls while Brendon McCullum and Ravindra Jadeja added to the tally with their 49 and 40-run knocks respectively. Frylinck was the highest wicket taker for the Dolphins.

Dolphins responded with a seemingly strong attack from captain Morne van Wky (17), Cameron Delport (34), Cody Chetty (37) and Vaughn van Jaarsveld (30) but were unable to sustain the required runs and kept falling at regular intervals. Sharma was the highest wicket taker with three wickets while Nehra and Bravo took two wickets each to restrict the Dolphins to 188 runs.
