KARACHI: The first hat-trick of the 2014-2015 Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) came from Muslim FC’s Muhammad Hanif, as he single-handedly defeated Quetta’s Baloch FC 3-0 at the KMC Stadium on Sunday.

Although Baloch FC contained their Chaman-based opponents in the first half, Hanif scored the opening goal in the 57th minute of the match. He went onto double the lead in the 69th minute and sealed the victory in the 85th minute for Muslim FC.

Meanwhile, KPT’s Muhammad scored twice to help his team win 2-0 against former national champions PIA at the KPT stadium.

Muhammad scored the first goal on penalty kick in the 19th minute and struck again in the 60th minute.

According to match commissioner Ali Nawaz Baloch, PIA were awarded a penalty kick in the second half, but missed the opportunity to score.

“PIA are a good team, but missing a penalty kick is something hard to digest,” Baloch told The Express Tribune.

Meanwhile, KPT manager Shah Naeem said that the refereeing in the first fixture of his team was not up to mark.

“The officials need to step up and improve on the refereeing standard,” said Naeem.
