LARKANA: Villagers and growers from Warah taluka took out a procession and held a demonstration against irrigation water shortage outside the office of the chief irrigation engineer here on Monday. Led by former Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Najamdin Abro, they shouted slogans against irrigation employees for engineering the shortage in different water drains of their taluka. Abro said that without water they could not sow the seeds of their crops, while the sown vegetable crops were burning. He demanded the immediate release of water into these drains to allow the farmers to earn their livelihood.
