A man was killed and two others were injured in a firing incident at Salanda, Manglawar in Swat Thursday night.
According to Charbagh police station, Hazrat Rahman, a resident of Salanda, said Fazal Raziq knocked at his door. When Rahman opened it, Raziq opened indiscriminate fire, injuring the resident and his daughter.
An off-duty security personnel passing by was also hit and died on the spot. After the incident, security forces arrested several suspects, including the accused, in a search operation. The deceased security official was identified as Amjad. The body was shifted to his ancestral village.
Meanwhile in Bara, Khyber Agency, two members of a militant outfit were severely injured when an improvised explosive device blast exploded.
