KARACHI: Dr Niaz Ali Abbasi, the home department secretary, has directed senior officers to dispose of and submit cases according to the rules and regulations without any delay. He spotted various officers not submitting their proposals, recommendations as per rules or providing sufficient justifications, all of which cannot be ignored. Dr Abbasi has taken note of this problem and directed that it is the prime duty of additional secretaries, deputy secretaries and section officers to follow the rules while disposing of official business and substantiate their recommendations with rules, traditions and precedents without any consideration of affiliation and influence. The home secretary said that if in the future any recommendations were found lacking in rules, precedents and convincing arguments, disciplinary action will be initiated against them. He also directed that all the cases should timely be processed and not be delayed unnecessarily.
