KARACHI: The Sindh home department has imposed a ban on the excavation of land and the carrying out of mud, sand or any other natural resources within the territorial jurisdiction of Lyari Development Authority. This ban was imposed under Section 144(6) of the Code of Criminal Procedure with immediate effect and until further notice. SHOs of the relevant police stations have been authorised to register cases against any violators of the ban.
