Crime control: Don’t loiter, CCPO tells SHOs

CCPO Capt (r) Ameen Vains directed station house officers on Friday to remain at police stations and avoid standing at pickets without reason.


Vains was presiding over a meeting of city division to discuss matters pertaining to crime in the city. He said strict action would be taken against the SHOs and investigation officers including muharars who misbehaved with complainants. The CCPO directed SHOs to keep close coordination with respectable and well reputed citizens in their areas. He said this could help them control crime. He directed SHOs to develop and effective intelligence network in their police stations on priority. Operations DIG Dr Haider Ashraf, Investigation SSP Abdul Rab and SP Sohail Akhtar Sukhaira were present at the occasion.
