Unidentified armed men killed an elite force official in Meerakhel in Bannu, shared the police on Thursday. According to a Ghoriwala policeman, elite force constable Musa was home, on leave from duty.
He said Musa was deployed at Ghaznikhel in Lakki Marwat but while he was on leave in his village, unidentified men gunned him down on Wednesday night.
An FIR of the incident had not been registered till the filing of this report. Separately, a couple was killed in Bannu on Thursday by unidentified thieves. A report filed at the Domail police station stated unidentified men broke into the couple’s house in Domail.
They were caught red-handed and when the couple resisted, the thieves opened fire, killing them on the spot. The robbers fled with gold and cash from the house. Both bodies were taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu for a post-mortem.
