Building by-laws: LDA acts against private housing localities

The staff of Director Estate Management also launched an anti-encroachment operation in several housing schemes.

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday sealed offices of two private and co-operative housing schemes over non-execution of transfer of mortgage deed.


The staff of Director Estate Management also launched an anti-encroachment operation in several housing schemes.

Society offices of Awaisia and Lahore Avenue and Public Health Housing Society were sealed for not executing transfer of mortgage deed.

The LDA said in a statement its staff had sealed a private school building in Revenue-A Society as it was built without the authority’s permission.

The school owner has been asked to produce possession documents of the property.

Separately, the management of American Lycetuff in PIA Housing Society Phase 2 has been given three days to produce similar documents.

Three shops on dispensary land of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry housing scheme phase 1 were also sealed.
