Crime Against Women: Man kills sister for honour

BAHAWALPUR: A man strangled his married sister late on Sunday in Jillani village for eloping with her paramour. Ghulam Qadir killed his sister while she was asleep. Qadir then appeared before the Anayati police and confessed to the crime. Talking to reporters, Qadir claimed his sister had eloped with another man. “She was brought back on Sunday night by elders of the village. I strangled her when she fell asleep,” he said. Police have sent the body to a hospital for post mortem examination. A case has been registered against Qadir on the complaint of the deceased’s husband.
