Meanwhile, PAT workers carrying sticks are present outside the Minhajul Quran Secretariat while some of the workers are wearing masks and glasses to protect themselves from shelling.
Crackdown
Hundreds of PAT workers have been taken into custody in a crackdown against the party by the Punjab police.
DPO Bhakkar Shakir Hussain confirmed that in the past few days, 304 workers taken into custody, out of which 180 were sent on judicial remand to Central Jail Mianwali.
Apart from this, 300 workers were also reportedly arrested from Gujranwala, 150 from Sargodha, 100 from Khushab, 76 from Mianwali, 60 from Multan, 50 from Muzaffargarh, and 25 from Warhi and Ludhran.
Dozens of PAT workers were arrested from other cities in Punjab including Faisalabad, Jhelum, Layyah and Rawalpindi.

Qadri suspected working for US and Israeli Interests
Many people complain that Taher Ul Qadri may be working for the United States and Israel, an allegation which is denied by him.
It is a fact that Dr. Qadri never criticized United States for their high handedness in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and other countries. The whole world knows what happened on 9/11 and afterwords but Taher Ul Qadri never gets tired of singing US praise in all their actions, including their drone attacks on innocent civilians in many parts of the world.

What advise Dr. Qadri receives from Hayward? It is a closely guarded secret, Dr. Qadri will never share with anyone. May be Dr. Qadri needs Hayward's services for his revolution in Pakistan in line with Libyan revolution.

This man should not be allowed to come out of Model Town. I would like to ask the media who says "he has the right of long march", My simple question to media is to explain what will happen to my basic rights if he sits in Islamabad and his workers damage the public property.
I live just a block away from Qadri Sahab's residence. I actually had to travel by foot to traverse through Model Town to make it to my office, which is situated at Centre Point. With news coming in that all entry/exit points have been sealed off, it is a decision I now regret. I have no idea why the restrictions imposed by the government are necessary: Qadri sahab's marches and sit-ins would surely have remained useless - but peaceful - if his past acts are a measure to go by. By barricading an entire swath of the city (Faisal Town, Model Town, Model Town Extension) and making it virtually impossible to move around, the government has helped Qadri Sahab attain what had eluded him ever since he launched his public/political career; space in the headlines, popularity (or notoriety), and an illusion of being a force to reckon with. I can never relate to TUQ's message, but the heavy-handedness of this government has placed it - in my book at least - in league with the likes of autocratic rulers of the ME. Although Mian sahab always had the tendency to silent dissent with force, I naively hoped that his stay in the UK might have etched some preliminary lessons on democracy into his psyche. But I guess keh Arab kay muqaddas raigzaroon ki hawa ka asar un ki tabiyet per ghalib hai.

Just came back from Model town. Nawaz Sharif is just digging his grave deeper as he has blocked every exit out of Model town. So now lahore got its very own no-go area. You let the rot set in for too long and you will see it spread. Karachi's peace has been abused for too long, and the governments apathy at best and active participation in the disturbing of peace in all this time has not helped anyone. I once again plead the government to bring peace into karachi. That is the only way this country will survive.
