Official call: Japanese delegation meets AIG

KARACHI: A two-member delegation of the consulate general of Japan called on Additional IGP Ghulam Qadir Thebo at the Central Police Office on Tuesday. The delegation, comprising consul and security officer Teshu Kondo and Ministry of Foreign Affairs member Maki Mizysawa, met Thebo for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest. Thebo briefed them about the workings of the Karachi police with special reference to the ongoing targeted operation against terrorists. Noting that internally displaced persons were coming to Karachi in the aftermath of the Zarb-e-Azb operation, Thebo said that they will return to their homelands after the success of the operation.
