KARACHI: Australia fired 48 runs in the last over to stun Pakistan by two wickets in the final of the Hong Kong Super Sixes. Imran Nazir proved a wrong choice as he bowled too many wides in the final over as Australia, requiring 46 to win, overhauled the seemingly impossible target with a ball to spare.

Earlier, Pakistan amassed a massive total of 132, aided by a knock of 92 from just 28 deliveries by Ahmed Shehzad. Australia started off well in reply but lost their way in the middle before Nazir made things easy for them.

Earlier, Pakistan thrashed defending champions South Africa by 50 runs in the semi-final. Pakistan accumulated 138 runs on the board before restricting the Proteas to 88.
