Militants’ warning: Pamphlet threatens law-enforcement officials in Jamrud

The document warns them to resign from their jobs before Eid or be killed.

A militant group has distributed pamphlets in Jamrud, Khyber Agency warning officials of several law-enforcement agencies to leave their jobs before Eidul Fitr or be killed.


Jamrud political administration official Roshan Wazir said a militant group claiming to be Jaish-e-Khurasan has left some 200 pamphlets in Ghudai, Teddy Bazaar, Bakarabad, Pump House and Sur Kamar, addressing officials of the security forces, khasadars, levies, Frontier Constabulary, Frontier Corps and other law-enforcement agencies.


The document warns them to resign from their jobs before Eid otherwise the members of Jaish-e-Khurasan will target and kill them.


According to Wazir, upon seeing the pamphlet he directed the khasadars to launch a search operation in the area to arrest the militants, however, they were not to be found. The pamphlets created panic among the residents of Jamrud.
