According to his close friends, he had a successful recovery from the surgery and had been interacting with friends for the past few days untill he complained of breathlessness.
" I spoke to him a while back and everything was fine untill his son called me to inform that he is having difficulty in breathing and is being rushed to the hospital " Khalid Khan , the bassist of Aaroh and Hashmi's close friend told The Express Tribune. " And after a while heard the sad news".
Hashmi was the father of three children, with the eldest son in his mid teens and the youngest son , only a few months old. The burial details and the friends and family of the deceased has requested for prayers.

Hashimi replaced Aaroh’s founding member and lead guitarist Nabeel Nihal Chishty when he left the band around 2004-2005 over a copyright dispute. In that time period they produced some of the most memorable songs like ' Na Kaho' , 'Pyar Ka jaal ' and 'Raag Neela' to name a few. The band stopped producing music for a while , after Aaroh’s lead vocalist Farooq Ahmed left the band for good. Later on , Hashimi along with other two members, Khalid Khan and Jason, relaunched the band with Rizwan Anwar as the new vocalist.

Dear Haider, you will be missed :)
I remember great times with Him. A genuine human being, straight forward and a lovely sense of humor person. RIP. Brother.
RIP.
Haider was a dear friend. He was a great guy and very good guitarist. His passing away is great loss. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.
A perfect colleague, an excellent friend, great human being and a musician par excelence, Haider was one of the finest persons I have known in life..I still cant forget when we were both working in Dewan. May Allah bestow his blessings on his family and give them the strength to bear the loss. All our prayers for you dear buddy. You will be missed a lot.
May his soul rest in eternal peace and may God give his wife, children and family the strength and patience to bear this tragic loss, Ameen.
What a loss..this guy was a treasure trove of knowledge as far as guitar playing is concerned..i bet no one cared..or gave him the respect he deserved while he was alive and making music..people need something as dramatic as this to temporarily wake them up from their apathy..only to resume like old times a few days later..
I pray for his maghfirat...terrible loss to the industry. Haider sb. you will be missed. Gone but not forgotten.
Allah called him in Ramazan, must be something very noble of him. I am sure Allah will grant him higher level in Jannah and peace and patience to the family. The tough part is for the spouse and young kids especially the youngest. Hope and pray Allah look after them well.
RIP. I was a huge fan of this guy and the band AAROH. Also a big fan of pakistani rock music.
Innalillahi... what a shocking news! May Allah give sabr and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss, ameen.
How much are we prepared for the event that no one can deny, believe IT or not!
Devastated to hear about the loss of Haider. How times in our music industry have changed. 10 years ago it was so booming here in Pakistan now Haider's untimely death is reflective of the changing times in our music industry and the isolation it finds itself in.
What a tragedy! Inna lillahe wa inna allehi rajeeoon, May his soul rest in peace.
May his soul rest in peace. I don't know much about this guy but whatever the information I had was through musician friends and apparently from his playing its undoubtedly that he was a good music creator and made his name in the industry with his great skills of guitar playing along with the brand name of Aaroh in a short span of time after his first tv appearance. Good musicians don't born every day which surely he was and will be missed in years to come.

Inna lillahe wa inna allehi rajeeoon!
May his soul rest in peace and he be awarded a place in hevean ...Ameen. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends and hope that Allah grants them strength to cope with their loss. I have seen 3 cases now where brain tumours have taken the lives of people in their prime. Devastating diagnosis and the prognosis is usually always bleak. We need more research into this area.
May his soul RIP...a great loss indeed! Inna lillahe wa inna allehi rajeeoon!
