Road tragedy: 12-day-old ran over by tractor trolley

Fatima slipped out of Riffat’s hands due to the impact and fell on the road.

A 12-day-old girl died in a collision between two motorcycles in Tiba Gharib Shah on Saturday night, police said.


They said Riffat Naveed, her daughter Fatima and brother Maqbool Ahmad were going on a motorcycle when another motorbike rammed into them.

Fatima slipped out of Riffat’s hands due to the impact and fell on the road. She was run over by a tractor and died instantly. Riffat fainted and was taken to a hospital, police said. The tractor driver fled from the scene.

Separately, a passenger bus ran over a motorcycle rickshaw and a motorcycle, injuring four people.

Police said the Lahore-bound bus was on its way from Karachi when it hit the rickshaw and motorcycle on Khanpur Road in Rahim Yar Khan.
