Army prepared to fight against entire spectrum of threat: Army Chief

SIACHEN: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said on Saturday that the army will not hesitate from any sacrifice for the defence of the country and that it was prepared to fight against the entire spectrum of threats.

Gen Sharif was visiting the army post on the Siachin Glacier on Saturday. The post is the highest battleground in the world. He spent time with troops and appreciated their high state of morale.

The COAS reiterated that the army is a battle hardened force, fully prepared to fight across the entire spectrum of threat. He advised the troops to remain focused on their professional obligations and training for an effective response to any emerging challenge.

Gen Sharif also laid a wreath at the Shuhada Monument at Gayari and paid tribute to valiant officers and soldiers who laid their lives in defence of the country.
