KARACHI:

Opposition MPAs are rather tired of the Sindh government’s rhetoric regarding their ‘achievements’. Pakistan Muslim League - Functional MPA Saeed Ahmed Nizamani challenged the chief minister to venture into the streets without protocol. “There are terrorists on a killing rampage in Karachi and dacoits looting the rest of Sindh,” he cried. “Where does the common man go in such a situation?” PTI’s Syed Hafeezuddin once again raised the issue of non-disbursement of development funds to lawmakers. “All lawmakers of the ruling party have been given the funds but we are still waiting for the same,” he said. “Is this not political victimisation?”

MQM’s Kamran Akhtar alleged that Karachi had been neglected in the budget. “Only Rs42 billion allocated for the city out of which Rs20 billion has been will be spent on the construction and renovation of government offices.” Meanwhile, the Pakistan Peoples Party MPAs cried songs of praise for the government and its vision, which they claimed was reflected in the budget. PPP’s Khusoon Chandio went as far to say that the Sindh government had broken all records of development in the last six years.
