ISLAMABAD:

Scores of Kashmiri students studying at a local educational institute of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, complained that they were beaten up and ragged by seniors while the institute’s authorities did not take action against the accused students, police said.

Police stated that a Kashmiri student of B-Tech first year at HR Institute was using the toilet in the hostel where he sustained an electric shock.

As he cried out for help, senior students from B-Tech third year rushed and inquired about the reason for shouting — which they called as disturbing since they were busy in exam preparations— the Times of India reported.

The student, Mohammad Omar, explained the reason but the senior students, instead of consoling him, thrashed him. The incident snowballed into a clash in which the Kashmiri students say that about 50 of them were injured.

Yes. Kashmiri students should be given automatic admission to LUMS and such colleges. They should be given special priviledges like in India. Remember, Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. People from the Jugular vein are special people who have to be treated specially. No ragging for special people.
