Road safety: Wheeling claims four lives in Multan, DG Khan

According to official statistics, wheeling has claimed at least 50 lives in Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan in 5 years.

Four people were killed and as many were inured on Friday in separate incidents of wheeling in Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan, police said.


Police said a five-year-old child, identified as Aaliyan, died when he was hit by two boys doing wheelies on a motorcycle near Delhi Gate on Misri Khan Road, Multan.

They said one of the riders received injuries and was taken to Nishtar Hospital. Citizens caught the other boy, tortured him and handed him to police.

In another incident, three motorcyclists were killed and three others were injured when they collided with each other while doing a road stunt near Samina Road in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The injured were taken to DHQ Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan.

One of them was later referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.

According to official statistics, wheeling has claimed at least 50 lives in Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan in the last five years.
