Collaboration: Buksh Foundation joins hands with IDC

With the help of this partnership, foundation has expressed optimism regarding trade ties between Pakistan and Italy.

Buksh Group Chairman Asim Buksh said the retail sector of Pakistan is growing at a rate of 5.3%.

Buksh Foundation – a not-for-profit microfinance institute – has become a member of the Italian Development Committee (IDC), a body working to promote bilateral trade and investment between Italy and Pakistan.


Buksh Group Chairman Asim Buksh said the retail sector of Pakistan is growing at a rate of 5.3% and is viewed as an attractive investment sector. “Therefore, such collaborations are significant to the growing retail market of Pakistan.”


Buksh Foundation CEO Fiza Farhan was presented with the title of co-chairperson of the IDC at the first executive meeting. “Italian interest in the Pakistani market is evident with its trade record that shows a $1.2 billion exchange that took place last year,” said Farhan. With the help of this partnership, the foundation has expressed optimism regarding trade ties between Pakistan and Italy.
