The balloons were released in the air after Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the bridge.
People gathered to celebrate the inauguration tried to catch the balloons when, for some reason, they caught fire and exploded, leaving many with burns.
The injured – mostly children – were taken to Jinnah Hospital for immediate medical assistance. Many of them were released soon after treatment, while more than 10 people are still being treated.

So in other words what you are saying is that it is okay to fill up the balloons with cheap gas which explodes !!! Give me a break ..children all over the world are fascinated by balloons and will often run after them to get one.
Don't blame the common people by calling them Jahil..its the responsibility of the Organizers who were appointed by the so called democratic government to ensure safety and security.

It would be interesting to know about the type of gas used. It should be helium as that is an inert gas. But given the high cost in Pakistan, either hydrogen or maybe even natural gas is used as its cheaper and easier to obtain.

The contractor who provided these baloons should be investigated and punished. The baloons are filled with Helium gas which is non-flammable. I think he used Hydrogen gas which is highly flammable.
Oh khadim-e-ala what you doing? Were you try to make another Guinness book of world record by leaving people injured with cheap gas.

In any first world country the CM would get sacked but of course nothing will happen.
Shahbaz Sharif's iron hand will catch those responsible and give them a lesson of their lives.
