The good stuff: Coast guards seize 40kg of opium

The approximate value of the seized opium is over Rs20 million in the international market.

KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guard (PCG) have claimed to have seized 40 kilogrammes of fine quality opium from the Naka Khari check post near Winder in Balochistan on Thursday during routine checking. They had received intelligence information regarding drugs smuggling via RCD Highway through a passenger bus, said the spokesperson. In a passenger bus coming from Mand, Balochistan, to Karachi, PCG officials found an unclaimed bag containing approximately 40kg of fine quality opium. According to PCG officials, the approximate value of the seized opium is over Rs20 million in the international market.
