KARACHI: The police are to be equipped with GSM trackers to foil terrorist attacks in Karachi, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior directed the Sindh government.
In a meeting held at the Central Police Office in Karachi, the committee has assured all out support to Sindh Police to maintain law and order in the city.
The committee chairman, Abdul Qadir Patel, said that the new security measure will help improve police performance.
It has also been decided that the issue of computerized motorcycle plates should be raised at the federal and provincial level.
IG Sindh Sultan Khattak and CCPO Karachi Fayaz Lagari were also present in the meeting.
