He added that in Punjab, 522,227 Watan Cards have so far been issued from which 4,98,544 flood victims have received their payments, the total of which amounts to more than Rs8.44 billion.
The minister said that overall the government has distributed more than Rs20 billion among flood victims through Watan Cards in Pakistan.
He said that the government is providing free of cost seed and fertiliser to flood victims who hold less than 25 acres of land so that they are able to cultivate their crops for next season.
The provincial minister said that overall Rs16 billion is being distributed in the form of an early compensation of Rs20,000 for which the federal and the Punjab government have shared the amount equally.
He said that the compensation would be provided to all flood victims without any discrimination and in a transparent manner.
