Formula one: Perez fastest as Red Bull struggles

Sergio Perez finished with the fastest time of one minute, 35.290 seconds, on the first day of the final Bahrain pre-season test, taking place ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, according to ESPNF1.


Meanwhile, Williams’ Valtteri Bottas gave Perez a tough competition by posting the second fastest time of 1:36.184 in the final 45 minutes of the session.


Kimi Raikkonen came third by clocking 1:36.432.


The Red Bull team, which completed 32 laps in the morning session, was restrained by overheating issues in the late afternoon session, along with the Renault-powered teams who struggled to put laps on the car in the pre-season test.
