Selected candidates from Malakand Division and South Waziristan, Orakzai, Bajaur and Mohmand agencies will receive fully-funded advanced public heath training after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Khyber Medical University (KMU) and Save the Children, an NGO.

The project is part of a USAID-funded health programme for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

Two-year courses of Masters of Public Health and Masters of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics will begin this month at KMU’s Institute of Public Health and Social Sciences and will address critical capacity gaps in these areas.
