
At least six hand grenade attacks were reported from Hyderabad and five cracker blasts from Larkana.
No casualties were reported, but two people have been injured.
Express News correspondent Abdullah Sheikh reported that the first attack occurred at Koh-i-Noor in Hyderabad where a hand grenade was thrown by unknown men riding a motorcycle.
Further attacks occurred at Haider Chowk, Liberty Chowk, Latifabad No 7 and other areas near police stations.
Similar attacks were reported from Kotri, Noshero Feroze, Bhit Shah, Matiari and Hala.
There were reports of seven near-simultaneous small intensity blasts in Dadu as well. There were also seven reported blasts in Ranipur area of Sindh.
Police claimed the attacks were orchestrated by the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaaz (JSMM), who have called for a strike against MQM chief Altaf Hussain's remarks over a partition of Sindh. The JSMM were included in the government's proscribed organisation's list last March.
Police have arrested several suspects behind the attacks and recovered pamphlets of the strike from them.
Blasts in Karachi
Four small intensity explosives was hurled at an eatery in Karachi on Friday evening.
An explosive was hurled at the eatery located on Nagan Chowrangi in Karachi.
Two more explosions were heard at Qayyumabad Chowrangi in Karachi near the KPT Interchange, while another targeted the Mausamiyat area at University Road.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries.
