Shahzaib Hasan scored an unbeaten 112 to help PQA win by nine wickets against State Bank in the ninth round of the President’s Cup One-Day tournament at the National Stadium, Karachi on Saturday.
Hasan’s knock came in just 44 balls and included 11 fours and 10 sixes as PQA comfortably chased down the target in a mere 12.2 overs. Batting first, State Bank were all out for 147 with Gulraiz Sadaf the top-scorer at 40, while Sohail Khan ended the match with five for 20.
Meanwhile at the Southend Club Stadium in Karachi, United Bank won by seven wickets against PIA as Ahsan Ali (37), Saad Surkhail (27) and Saeed Bin Nasir (44) chipped in with important knocks.
Earlier, Shaharyar Ghani (59) and Anwar Ali (24) had helped PIA to 124 as Mohammad Rameez took three wickets while Adil Raza and Atif Maqbool bagged two apiece.
SNGPL scrape through with three-run win
Asad Ali and Imran Ali bagged three wickets each for SNGPL to help them win the match by just three runs against KRL at the Iqbal Stadium.
Batting first, SNGPL amassed 199 in the 45 overs as both Umer Akmal and Mohammad Rizwan scored 47 while Saleem Mughal contributed 44.
For KRL, Saeed Anwar Jr hit an unbeaten 103 that included eight fours and four sixes, but it went in vain as the team ended up with 196 for eight as lost the match by a mere three runs.
In other matches, National Bank won by 88 runs against ZTBL as PTV defeated HBL by seven wickets.
