Farhat, Aziz give Habib Bank advantage

Imran Farhat and Rameez Aziz remained unbeaten on 160 and 106 respectively as Habib Bank ended day one on 294 for four against PTV in the President’s Trophy round nine match.

Farhat knock included 21 fours and two sixes, while Aziz hit 11 boundaries as they built up an unbeaten 272-run partnership for the fifth wicket to land the team in a dominant position at stumps.

Meanwhile, PQA were bundled out for a mere 189 runs in the first innings as Mohammad Naveed, Tabish Khan, Hasan Mahmood and Zahid Mahmood took two wickets each for State Bank.

In other matches, PIA were 192 for eight against United Bank while National Bank ended the day on 102 for three after bowling out ZTBL for 208 in the first innings. SNGPL, on the other hand, were 256 for eight against KRL when play ended.
