Supporters of Tahirul Qadri thronged Nasir Bagh to participate in the rally against corruption, unrest, unemployment.
Thousands of people gathered, waving their party flags on party songs as their leader slammed multiple government policies.
Qadri did not participate in the protest but instead addressed participants through a video link. A number of LEDs were installed at the venue for his address.
He said the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam had founded the nation on the basis of equality for everyone, but the state was being exploited for the benefit of a mere 100-200 families. He termed the existing democratic setup a "political dictatorship".
"Exactly how many families in Pakistan possess Rs50 billion rupees?," he demanded, referring to PM's amnesty scheme which promises zero scrutiny for anyone interested in investing in the country's industry.
He went on to criticize other areas of national policy, reiterating that the interests of the elite class were being facilitated at the expense of the masses.
"We want neither extremisim nor 'mullahism' but empowerment for the common man," Qadri said.
Dr Hussain Mohiudin Qadri, the son of Dr Tahirul Qadri also addressed the rally and condemned the government for its failure to control price hike, corruption, unemployment and terrorism.
He said they would continue their struggle till a "true revolution" takes place.

Remember Khomeini....he was living in France when revolution started by him and he eventually landed in Iran when the Shah of Iran and his family was extradited to America.....and look,what is Iran today, the only country in the world who has the guts to look into the eyes of the Americans and talks...do we have such courage...? Same Insha Allah,will happen when revolution starts and Dr Qadri will land to continue with the drive to get the corrupt arrested and hanged...same like what Khomeini did....InSha Allah....you,know how many we're hanged..? More than a milion people which included the corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, Generals, Police chiefs, Chief of feared intelligence units under Shah.....same will,happen in Pakistan InSha Allah....this is the only way to clean Pakistan......it will rise from its ashes...InSha Allah...a new vibrant Pakistan just as Qaide Jinnah envisioned..... My opinion is that the current political system is not suitable for Pakistan and Tahirul Qadri is doing is right
Whatever the credentials of Dr Qadri, whatever his beliefs, whatever his citizenship, whatever his ideology, we have to admit that govt has been instrumental in increasing inflation and making the situation of the poor from bad to worse. Yes the govt led by super-super rich businessman did not forget to announce a money laundering scheme for the super rich in Pakistan.
We should care more about what is written on the wall, rather than who has written it. Don't forget even gods have feet of clay :)

The Canadian on public welfare TQ has learned the remote politics from some politicians. The fact is some generals are still dreaming to capture Pakistan. They do not want their guru Mush be tried under high treason. Once this precedent is set up, it would be the end of army interference just like Turkey and other democracies. The main weapon for establishment is TQ, supported by IK, JI and MQM. With the TTP unleashing their reign of terror and the street power of the above would provide a reason to the generals that they are "forced" to move to save the country. Like Turkey and Indonesia we have to end this game of dictators and not become Egypt. My uncle's last visit to Punjab he met his old friends in the army who now are at senior posts. He could see that they believe this govt and democracy would fail and they would have to take over. They are waiting for their chance.

Dr Qadri has been proved right when he had said earlier that unless we bring reform within Election Commission....there will never be fair and transparent election...this has been proved over and over again by the political parties who have referred their rigging cases with the election tribunal.....hence, how do you guys expect right people will ever come to rule and solve poor people's problem....we are all seeing all what has been going around us....guys who are becoming jittery and showing nervousness must understand the feelings of the poor people in the roads....such people who are not prepared to understand Dr Qadri's demand must visit the streets in Karachi, Lahore, KP and Baluchistan and try to make these poor people understand that the govt is correct and these poor peoples must support the govt....go if you have the guts and try to talk to these poor people and you will get the answer....

I appreciate his humanitarian work, plus his participation during Amman Message which was meant to reduce sectarian tensions in the Muslim world. But in terms of electoral politics and rallies, I keep my fingers crossed.

I do not understand why people still can't see the reports of NADRA and Election commission and news papers. Every one say that Dr thair ul Qadri what ever he said before election is become true. Even Imran khan accepted that Election was fraud and the government is fraud.

In all this mist the only real revolutionary leader that I believe has the capability and vision to steer Pakistan out of the crisis is Dr Tahir ul Qadri. All the so called paid journalists have accused him with western agenda's but have been proven wrong.
I have seen and heard many politicians but Dr Qadri speaks with command, substance and has a clear vision. He is also the most educated leader out of the lot and can relate to everything without compromising on our islamic values.

Tahir ul qadri should leave his nationality of Canada and come in Parliament. He should use the forum of parliment for protests. He should not use his students and mureeds for rallies.
