Peshawar Panthers recorded a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Lahore Lions to book their place in the final of the national One Day Cup.
Batting first at the National Stadium in Karachi, the Lions stuttered to a 214 total in the allotted 45 overs. Umar Siddiqui top-scored with a 108-ball 79, his inning was studded with six hits to the fence.
Salman Ali chipped in with 45 runs; Taj Wali claimed a five-wicket haul to peg back the Lions.
In reply the Panthers coasted home to an eight-wicket win as they overhauled the target in 42.2 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed scored an unbeaten 103 off 124 balls to ensure a comfortable win for his team. Israrullah scored 61 runs.
The second semi-final will be played between two Karachi outfits Zebras and Dolphins at the same venue today.
