Cylinder explosion in Karachi kills balloon vendor, injures another

A balloon gas cylinder caused the blast near Ayesha Manzil in Karachi: police.

KARACHI: A gas cylinder explosion outside a shop near Ayesha Manzil in Karachi on Saturday killed a balloon vendor and , Express News reported on Saturday.

After a thorough inspection of the blast site, police stated that contrary earlier reports which claimed that the blast was due to a grenade, it was a cylinder.

They added that the person killed by the blast was the balloon vendor himself, whose identity was yet to be ascertained.

The injured person has been identified as Abbas.

The blast reportedly took place at the inauguration of an electronics shop. The blast was caused by a gas cylinder used to fill balloons.

The noise caused by the blast was heard in adjoining areas.

The only focus of Karachi operation is to destroy MQM and obtain Nazim/ Mayor seat for PPP. nothing else!!!
