Suicide or murder?: Rangers sepoy found dead in his house

The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Shahid Ali, son of Badshah Khan.

KARACHI: A sepoy of the Rangers was found dead, hanging by the noose, in his house at Macchar Colony within the limits of Docks police station on Friday. The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Shahid Ali, son of Badshah Khan. The sepoy was posted to Ghotki but came to his house on a one-month vacation.  The victim’s body was taken to Civil Hospital, Karachi, for autopsy and was later handed over to the family for burial. The doctors have not disclosed the postmortem report as yet. The police have claimed that the deceased was hanged to death. The investigating officer of the case, ASI Waheed, said that it has yet to be ascertained whether the victim committed suicide or was hanged to death by someone. The Rangers officials said they were looking into the incident.
