Round-up: Howdy, ladies!

This week, celebrity glitterati gussied up to attend the American Country Awards 2013. The attendees sported an eclectic range of ensembles. Some of our favourite divas flaunted monochromatic outfits and some, dazzled in prints and sequins. While a few of these ladies worked gorgeous loose waves on the red carpet, others opted for updos that had us yee-hawing! Here are some of our favourite looks from the evening.

Danica Patrick



American auto-racing driver and model Danica Patrick raced to the top of our list of favourites from the event. Sporting a glittering metallic and black Badgley Mischka dress, Patrick looked stunning. We are fans of her matching heels and the dull gold spike choker necklace. With rosy cheeks, nude lips, shimmery eyes and those waves, she looked like a rock star at the Country Awards.

Chelsea Bain 



Although artiste/musician Chelsea Bain played it safe with her pick, she totally owned her look. Clad in a midnight blue dress, Bain looked beautiful. Her side-wept loose waves were to die for. We love her royal blue lace platform heels. She, too, sported limited accessories and perked up her look by shading her eyes brown and wearing a gorgeous red on her lips.

LeAnn Rimes



Country singer LeAnn Rimes looked glamorous in a sequined long-sleeved Reem Acra dress that enhanced her curves. She accessorised with a gold clutch and minimal accessories, and wore black and gold heels. Although conventional, she looked fabulous! Her sleek updo put the spotlight on her gorgeous features, which she highlighted with black eyeliner and a nude lip colour.

Lauren Alaina  

 



Former American Idol contestant Lauren Alaina sizzled in a beaded red lace Jovani dress with a scallop cut-out back. With minimal L’Dezen accessories and a silky straight fringe, her look was a total winner. We love her dark eyes and nude lips. So chic!

Shawna Thompson



Shawna Thompson, member of the country music duo Thompson Square, breathed new life into our favourite fashion staple, black. The cut of the dress complemented her figure beautifully. With glowing skin, dark eyes and pale lips, Thompson’s look was flawless. She donned a matching pair of heels and kept her accessories to a bare minimum. Love it!
