Deadly Virus: Dengue death toll reaches 26

One more patient affected by the dengue virus died in the city, taking the death toll to 26 in the province this year.

KARACHI: One more patient affected by the dengue virus died in the city, taking the death toll to 26 in the province this year. Meanwhile, the total number of patients affected by the virus across the province has reached 4,227, according to the Sindh Dengue Surveillance Cell. A 65-year-old male patient, hailing from Orangi Town, was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday and died the next day. His death, however, was reported to the cell on Saturday. A total of 26 persons have died in the province, including 24 in Karachi and two in Hyderabad. According to the dengue cell’s information, the number of total dengue patients recorded in the city has reached 3,661.
