Suicide or murder? Young woman found dead

Razia’s father Jumo Mahar claimed that she committed suicide by drinking toxic pesticide.

SUKKUR: Razia’s body was brought to the Dad Leghari police by her father, Jumo Mahar, who claimed that she committed suicide by drinking toxic pesticide. However, Razia had come to the police four days prior to her death and had claimed that her life was in danger. According to SHO Abdul Rehman Kandhro, Razia had come to the police seeking their protection and stated that her husband tortured her and that she was afraid he might kill her. Razia opted to stay with her father for her own safety while the police were trying to decide whether or they should take action against her husband, Rano Mahar. After her death, the police are now waiting for her postmortem report, said SHO Kandhro. However, sources claim that Razia’s father, Jumo Mahar, and uncle, Suhrab Mahar, have been arrested by the police.
