A team of the anti-corruption police raided the treasury office in Jacobabad on Tuesday on alleged charges of corruption. The team seized records pertaining to the GPF Fund, new appointments and payments of arrears.

The team, headed by first civil judge and judicial magistrate Zulfiqar Kamboh and anti-corruption circle officerMuneer Ahmed Phulpoto, conducted the raid. Phulpoto later told the media that several complaints were sent to the anti-corruption circle's chairperson that there was misappropriation of the GPF Fund and arrears in the education and health departments.  Jacobabad treasury officer Qaiser Hashmi denied these corruption charges. "There is nothing wrong with our records, that is why we have handed over all relevant records to the anti-corruption officials," he explained.
