The Pakistan Army retaliated with firing after which both sides ceased fire.
This is another incident of the continued back and forth violence between both countries along the Line of Control (LoC).
Earlier, the Indian army claimed to have killed seven militants in their side of the disputed Kashmir state. The military claims it has been fighting 30 to 40 infiltrators who crossed the LoC last month.
On October 4, four people were injured in the Kotli area because of Indian shelling on the Line of Control.

@saad:
Thirdly we do have sovereignty because drones are been carried out by the permission from the Government and if you don’t believe me on this why don’t u read the articles about the truth of drones attacks. . Well SAAD That is really funny ... it really is. By the way have you read what Nawaz Sharif said in UN ??? Read first two paragraph of below link. http://tribune.com.pk/story/610267/pakistan-committed-against-extremism-but-drones-detrimental-nawaz-at-un/ . You see why the world don't trust you guys ??? It is not a conspiracy, its just that you guys are not trust worthy. you change your stand there and then just like that. It is really saad.
I agree with the last 4 lines of what Alann said. Bad behaviour is given a good name. The public is supporting terrorism and loss of life,by being misguided with the label of 'freedom fighters'. Mistakenly endorsing so many deaths by spoiling peace. Pakistanis are being mislead.Money for the nations development is being spent ,to create unrest in some other country. I prefer to see a a Karachi developed like Tokyo or a Peshawar developed like Singapore with pakistani tax money, than it being spent on training militants & weapons, to add kashmir to Pakistan (where cities like karachi are models of lawlessness) Even if Kashmir comes to pak-it will be divided up as plots between rich punjabis, like it was done in pok/azad kashmir. The average pakistanis life doesn't change...he continues to live in a dangerous karachi...not a karachi that looks like london.
@Aakashvanni as for the slander campaign by indian media proves they don't want peace with pakistan. Indian politicians try to win election and get vote from indians on the basis of hatred against pakistan. If everyone in the world believes pakistan is the epicenter of terrorism then why don't the world agree with you indians? and yes india does need the backing of world to go to war with pakistan. hahahah every country in the world have to go through these phases of internal problems and we are the not the first country and sorry to say but Pakistan will come out of this mess which india planted and some of wrong policy of previous Governments. Thirdly we do have sovereignty because drones are been carried out by the permission from the Government and if you don't believe me on this why don't u read the articles about the truth of drones attacks.
@Curious: Don't insult our religion. Have some basic decency when commenting on a Pakistani website.
both the sides the firing is there the pak has allways put there hands in our land they know there power do not have ammunition to fight but allways starts from your side
they donot want peace as they want to make a tence condition with us
hahahah where did your learn it from? wait let me guess from slums of india right? or from your pandits? be honest. As for me i learn english from vienna International school where i spend my childhood. Secondly don't go on my pattern of writing english just read what i wrote about india and their slander campaign against pakistan.
@Saad: No amount of Media propoganda could prove Pakistan is a terrorist state than finding Osama bin laden right under the Pak military patronage. Everyone in the world knows where the epicentre of International terrorism is and trust me, Indian media did not tell them. India does not need world backing to crush Pakistan and by the way you guys are crumbling from the inside, right before your eyes. You guys should not talk about self-respect or soveriginity because 1) you dont have any 2) If you had any, America has droned it away. ET please publish my comment.
@saad Being patient is not equal to "having failures in plan". India is in no way trying to make Pakistan look bad in UN and elsewhere, else it could trap Pakistan in so many ways for non-fulfillment of various commitments. Just like Pakistan keeps shouting Kashmir everywhere, India is now calling out Pakistan for being the "epicentre of terrorism". And it is not wrong in any way, as Pakistan's "non-state actors" are attacking India and killing Indian soldiers and Pakistan's useless politicians keep shrugging off their responsibility. Only recently has India started responding aggressively, even though it is in no way hinting at a war. However, that does not mean Pakistan gets to test India's patience for long. Time is running out. Pakistan is so deeply in trouble today that if a war does break out between the two countries due to the militants residing in Pakistani soil attacking India, Pakistan will be thrown back by 2 decades, economically and in every way. Already Pakistan ranks ahead of countries like Syria and even Nigeria in the list of failed states for last 3 years. I hope ET mods don't edit my comment. Ofcourse pakistanis can go check out the list of failed nations themselves, but they dont seem to realise how big of a trouble their country today is in. And they like to keep finding faults in India based on all the lies their army and vote-bank politicians have fed them (and continues to do so.) Lastly, there will be no reports of ceasefire violations by either country, only if Pakistan could make its own borders secure and not let militants infiltrate India from its land. But that is not the only problem. There is a problem in mentality of the public too, which the Pakistani politicians like to exploit to the fullest. Whatever militants infiltrate into India from Pakistan in J&K are termed as "freedom fighters" by the 'normal' Pakistanis. Such mentality was the reason for the huge growth of Taliban and such mentality is what is going to destroy Pakistan from within.
I thought the two PMs said they will bring calm to LOC, in NY.
One PM is weak and another is a hostage.
@Curious: You should start working as an English teacher!
@saad Where did you study English? Madarassa? Can you write separate sentences? Try it. Just randomly put full stops here and there.
Raj... at least change your name next time in order to create proper confusion :/
pak can never be a real democracy......i mean army is totally out of control....it eats 1/3 rd of the budget and social sector hardly gets anything ....people live miserable life with no scope of improvement...:(
Its seems like pakistan media is becoming hostage.......While Indian media is keeping calm at the situation..they are not showing any news so that there can be peace talks with pakistan.....Here we are already battling on our inner front by the people sent from neighbouring country in kashmir keran sector...so why would India do so....i dont see India doing this...this may be done by some non-state actor in pakistan as they are not under their control...
ET..get it through...
This proves it india doesn't want peace but to carry out their slander campaign and media propaganda against pakistan to prove it that pakistan is a terrorist state and then go to war with pakistan with the help of world backing , this plan of india as seen failures at all fronts and now frustrated by their failures they started violating the ceasefire and killing innocent people and then blame it on pakistan hahah indians and their usual dramabaizy.
