Street crimes: Girl killed over gold earrings

Police reported that six-year-old Zawar Shaikh was playing outside her house when she went missing.

The Kandhkot police arrested two people on Saturday on their alleged involvement in killing a minor girl after kidnapping her from Gharibabad Muhalla on Friday morning.


The police reported that six-year-old Zawar Shaikh was playing outside her house when she went missing. On Friday evening, the girl’s body was found abandoned on a street near Jamia Mosque.


Her father told the media that his daughter was killed because of the gold earrings, which were missing.
