Not okay!: NDMA under fire from Senate committee

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) came under scathing criticism at a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat.


Senators expressed dissatisfaction over NDMA’s performance in the aftermath of the floods emergency. Chairman NDMA Major General Saeed Aleem said since 2010, Pakistan has faced $16 billion worth of losses due to floods. He said the NDMA only had a budget of Rs160 million.
