Greener Pastures: PM to open 5,000MW project

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that the government will introduce subsidised tariff for electricity users consuming up to 250 units per month to provide relief to the poor. The minister said that the prime minister will soon announce the energy policy, adding that the government’s priority is to end power theft and ensure smooth supply of electricity to both the public and the industry.  Ali said the prime minister will soon inaugurate a new 5,000 megawatts electricity project in Gadani.
