HANGU:

The bullet-riddled bodies of two men, who went missing earlier, were found in Darsamand area on the outskirts of Hangu on Saturday.

The deceased were allegedly kidnapped and shifted to an undisclosed location from Darsamand Afghan Camp in Doaba area around two months ago. Their bodies, which bore marks of severe torture and multiple gunshots, were found in a thicket outside the camp, said police official Aleem Khan.

According to Khan, the bodies were discovered by two Afghan nationals who became curious after hearing dogs bark in the nearby bushes. Upon closer investigation, they discovered the two bodies and notified the police.

The deceased were shifted to Doaba police station and then to Headquarters Hospital for autopsy where they were identified as Muhammad and Gul Rehman, Afghan refugees living in Ghora Warhi area of the district.

“No one filed a case with the police when the two went missing,” said Khan, adding the bodies were later handed to the bereaved relatives who shifted them to Afghanistan for burial.
