ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Science and Technology Khurram Dastagir Khan has stressed the need to resolve key disputes between India and Pakistan for forming friendly relations.

Kashmir, Siachen, Sir Creek and water issues need to be resolved to ensure peace in the region, he added. Talking to a private TV channel, he said that the PML-N-led government was committed to form good relations with all immediate neighboring countries, adding that maintaining good relations with India was a challenge for the new government.

He, however, appreciated the former regimes of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former general Pervez Musharraf for making attempt to formulate trade ties with India. India never responded positively, he said.
