LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Tuesday sought comments from the Shahdara SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking registration of a case against her tenants for beating her up. The petitioner, Uzma Basharat, submitted that she had rented a portion of her house to Shehzadi Bibi, her husband Shahbaz, and their son Iftikhar. She said they had not paid the utility bills and the rent for six months. When she demanded that they pay up, they assaulted her. She said the SHO concerned had refused to act on  her complaint.
