Imran gave the commission three days to accept his party’s demand for recounting of votes in six constituencies. These constituencies were NA-57 Attock, NA-110 Sialkot, NA-122, NA-125, NA-154 Lodhran and NA-239.
According to the official results announced by the ECP, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s (PML-N) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq won the seat.
Imran managed to get 84,417 votes in the constituency, compared to Sadiq’s 93,362 votes.

So far PTI has been failed to provide any evidence of rigging. They are raising baseless allegations. Shame for PTI. I salute Pakistani people who gave their mandate to PML-N. PTI should respect the mandate given to PML-N by Pakistani public.
No one has ever accepted the defeat in Pakistan. Same is being done by PTI. Then where is the change. PTI is doing the traditional politics. PTI should accept its defeat in elections.

I can't understand the problem of ECP. First they didn't conduct elections well. Then admitted their guilt. And now refusing the recount to avoid any shortcomings. Some ECP it is.

Because of non computerization in voting stations the possibility of fraudulent votes are very high in Pakistan. To make this and future elections credible ECP should be part of the judiciary and ECP should make sure the voter is not harassed or influenced in any way how to cast their vote and the total vote count should be available through out the day to prevent votes stealing and every vote should be verified with Nadara for thumb impression no matter how much time it takes and if fraudulent votes are discovered ECP should take action in retrospect and charge this candidate and the staff of ECP and all other culprits involve in this crime for election fraud and disqualify them to hold any public office or government job and apply exemplary punishment of 100 lashes each person with heavy fines. If this measure is applied then there is a possibility of honest and fair election in Pakistan.
PTI should accept its defeat first. Its candidates can file petitions in election tribunals and courts against discrepancies. PTI first requested "vote recount with thumb impression verification" on four seats. Now their demand has increased to six seats. They will not stop till Imran Khan is made PM.
What will happened if "so called Independent ECP" order for re-counting. This ECP is neither fair nor independent. Now the supreme court itself is watching all the show and complete "Khamosh". where are CJ "suo-motos" now. Re-counting should be done.

You are just nit picking. In referendum you just have to say yes or no and there is only one person. so It could be 94% an even 100%. This is election and there are more than one candidate. Don't mixes apples an oranges and compare.

ECP was there to make sure N-League win the seat. If the ECP has to recount then everybody finds out about the rigging.. The important thing is N-league seat will be lost in recounting which is not the purpose of ECP.

There was no rigging in the entire Punjab. Rigging was made onlt in Karachi.

Imran khan should file petition in Suprem court for the reverification. ECP is hiding its incompitence as they know recount will make this election more doubtful. This election was properly rigged in all parts of the country.
Reservations, doubts and challenges to the results in a number of seats notwithstanding, all the parties should emulate the example set by the PPP and ANP in accepting the mandate of the people even when it went against them. This is the true democratic spirit. The more gracefully all parties handle themselves in the aftermath of the elections, the smoother will be the task of government formation, and the sooner will the country settle down to the real task: confronting the myriads of serious issues afflicting the country. We hope the political parties will live up to the expectations of the people in this regard and behave with exemplary maturity and in a true democratic spirit.
Imran is trying to be representative at the age of 60. I request him to grow up and develop some flexibility in his personality. He is a very immature person who lacks decision-making skills. PTI should admit its defeat with open heart and do constructive opposition.

i think it is only way to make controversiol the whole election in pakistan because in those areas the captain wanted re-election where his party could gain sucess.in this way those party can also demand for re election in various constituenceis .the best thing for pakistan is that like many mature parties ppp and anp accepted the results for the prior interst of pakistans better future keeping thie own vested interest aside

PTI needs to show political maturity as they cannot pick fights in Karachi, Hyderabad and Punjab at the same time and expect to win them ALL. It should focus on Karachi/Hyderabad only for either re-election or verification of thumb impressions through NADRA and leave the Punjab fight for the next election.
They will win Punjab easily, next time around, if they manage to do something good in KP during the next 05 years.

Keep in mind that even if IK wins from NA 122, he will have to leave this seat and then the government will not let a PTI candidate win from here. It was a good try to request this, but I am happy that the other 5 recount requests went through.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has genuinely won the seat.
@Awais: Awais recounting is only helpful when the margin of the winner is very thin. Due to manual counting each time you get slightly different results. Ch nisar just won the pp seat by 380 votes making it a perfect case for recountng and it worked . With margins like 10k in NA 122 it won't be helpful. I hope you understand
As after recounting result of PP7 has been changed so PMLN may loose some more seats if recounting is done.
Tbadeeli has come. I mean ECP and PML-N brought 'Tabdeeli' in the results of several national and provincial seats.
Elections are over now. Now let the winners do their work for 5 years in National Assembly and all provincial assemblies. All parties making protests in those constituencies where they lost. This is not good attitude. If PTI lost in Lahore, they should accept the defeat. Lead of PML-N in NA-122 is about 9000 votes while there is lead of 40000 in NA-125. These are big leads.
Their is something very fishy that went on during the night of the vote counting silence from supreeme court which had been taking suo moto notices on everything from suger prices to petty matters. I dont know when or if the voices of the poor masses would reach them.. SAD!!
I feel pity for PTI people who were misled by Imran Khan. All should go back to work now and wait for 5 years. People of Pakistan have rejected PTI.
In PP-7, lead for Ch. Nisar was of only 300 votes and that is too small a number to stand....IK lost by 9000 votes so both these cases are not comparable....Give it a rest people....Saying IK is too big to fail is not a proof

for correction of few individuals here- request for recounting is the right of the candidate. Repolling is where you need to bring evidence to demand going through the same exercise.

It was said by Tahir ul Qadri on May 6 that all those raising slogans of change will be raising slogans of dhandli after elections. PTI should be realistic and congratulate PML(N) on winning elections.
There were quite fair and transparent elections in Punjab. No need of recount. PTI followers should admit their defeat. We have much confidence in PML-N.

Good decision by ECP. NA 122 was won by PML-N with a lead of 9000 votes. Entire youth of this constituency is with PML-N.
Only electables from PTI won in Punjab. PTI has lost the battle. They should accept it.
There was no rigging in Punjab. PTI should have courage to accept the defeat. Rigging was made only in Karachi and Interior Sindh.

Its unfair, results have been different in PP7, where Ch. Nisar got defeated by PTI candidate. so why not at NA-122 where margin of victory is also not significant.
Recounting is highly labor and capital intensive as ALL of the votes casted have to reconfirmed by matching the fingerprints with the NADRA database. Thats what I heard.
@Lubna, ma'am if you reverse engineer the things, on what grounds IK was pleading for recount? when there wasnt a single compalint registered to ECP hotline or presiding officer duriong 10-11 hours of polling in NA-122? IK lost fair & square, its a fact that is very ahrd to swollow for PTI

Unless ECP has solid evidence to say recounting of NA 122 is not warranted It must heed to PTI demand to restore whatever credibility ECP is left with. If the evidence submitted by PTI in supporter of rigging or wrongdoing against NA 122 is found fake or fabricated then PTI should have a lot to answer. The fact remains though , massive rigging and fraud has occurred in this election and ECP has no claim over its fairness and transparency

Whats with the wierd name? Anyways, I would like to point out that the PTI has gained several seats last few days thanks to recounting (Jahangir Tareen won his for example, Ch. Nisar lost two of his). What happened then?
Why would the ECP deny a recount on such a small number of seats? Are they completely insane? Give them the recount and shut them up, or fuel the paranoia!
The ECPs incompetence has been spectacularly baffling throughout.
Shows they have something to hide and immense pressure being applied. Looks like PTI has to force its way through since they will not yield to genuine complaints.

Good move. PTI's only 'evidence' in NA-122 was the impossibility of Imran Khan to get beaten. Why would we trust PTI with any evidence anyway since their rangers video of NA 125 turns out to have been from Sindh. When you have no evidence fabricate it. The acts of an increasingly desperate party.
This ECP decision on NA-122 proves that PTI has to continue with the protests against the worst rigging in our history!
