KARACHI: Tennis ace Aisamul Haq Qureshi along with his Dutch partner Jean-Julien Rojer crashed out of the Barcelona Open as they lost to British duo Colin Fleming and Jonathan Marray 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 in the first round of the doubles event in Barcelona, Spain yesterday.

The British duo avenged their Monte Carlo Masters defeat in Barcelona as they took the first set 6-4, however, fourth seeds Aisam and Rojer leveled the match in the second set 6-2, but Fleming and Marray sealed the victory in the third set 10-6.

Earlier in Monte Carlo, although Aisam and Rojer reached the quarter-finals after defeating Fleming and Marray in the third-round match, the Pak-Dutch pair failed to proceed further and crashed out of the clay event.
